Peter Sprague is an accomplished guitar player, producer, recording engineer, arranger, composer, and writer. Presently touring with Jazz Vocalist Dianne Reeves, Sprague is also in the process of recording a new album with his “Peter Sprague String Consort”. An accomplished recording engineer, Peter Sprague has produced fellow musicians and worked on over two hundred CD projects through his recording studio SpragueLand.
Sprague, inspired by his father’s love of jazz, discovered his own passion for music at the age of twelve when he took up the guitar. He continued to hone his talent at Interlochen Arts Academy through study with a number of notable musicians (Pat Metheny, Madame Chaloff, and Albin Czak, to name a few) leading him to being a multiple award-winning Jazz musician. In recent years, Sprague has been awarded the title Best Jazz Act by the San Diego Music Awards in both 2004 and 2007, with further nominations in 2008 for Artist of the Year and Best Jazz Recording.
